Dantedì – Dante la Divina Commedia e i Castelli romani

In questo 25 marzo 2020 si celebra il primo #Dantedì della storia per ricordare il Sommo Poeta.

Per l’occasione, noi di Castelli Cult siamo andati a ripescare la terzina del Paradiso in cui si fa riferimento ai Castelli romani e ce la facciamo spiegare dal Prof. Giulio Ferroni che, per la La Nave di Teseo, ha scritto un volume molto interessante: “L’Italia di Dante”. Un viaggio vero e proprio nei luoghi della Commedia.

“Nella storia dell’aquila imperiale fatta da Giustiniano nel VI del Paradiso si dice che essa ebbe sede ad Alba Longa, per più di tre secoli, fino al momento in cui passò a Roma, in seguito alla guerra con Alba, decisa dal duello tra gli Orazi e i Curiazi, tre fratelli romani contro tre fratelli albani, vinto dal romano Orazio, solo superstite. […] La città di Albano Laziale è quella, tra i Castelli, che direttamemte nel proprio nome, reca la traccia della originaria Alba Longa: ma sembra che l’antica città fosse piuttosto sul sito attuale Castel Gandolfo, molto vicino del resto ad Albano Laziale.”

Giulio Ferroni inizia da qui il suo viaggio tra i Castelli, narrandone storie, monumenti, paesaggi.

Noi ci riagganciamo alla storia degli Orazi e Curiazi, ricordata dal Poeta, e postiamo la foto di un significativo monumento sito sul territorio di Albano, proprio la cosiddetta Tomba degli Orazi e Curiazi.
